Cattie’s Catch Up: Cameron vs Asuka on WWE NXT (November, 4th 2015)

Welcome to A Midweek reflective moment in Women’s Wrestling brought to you by none other than myself, Catherine! Having heard Cameron’s Humble and Honest Interview with Steve Austin yesterday and how she touched base on her passion to showcase her improving wrestling skills in NXT, i couldn’t help but think back to the particular match that kickstarted Cameron’s NXT run that didn’t seem to further much no thanks to Creative. Looking to join a positively critiqued women’s division, Cameron headed to NXT to showcase her improvements advertised via her social media to the NXT audience, but had a tough going with her opponent being the rising star turned now NXT Women’s Champion Asuka.

Cameron held her own against the Japanese Competitor, even nailing a swift counter sequence between herself and Asuka from a slap into an armbar that got a deserving pop from the audience. Cameron attempted to work against the quickness and stiffness of the rising competitor, but would ultimately fall, not returning again until the new year where she would work two additional matches before her oncoming release.
