Your Monday Post #113: Gail Kim vs Madison Rayne for the TNA Knockouts Championship (January, 16th 2014)

Welcome All to A New Week of Wrestling, and to think we aren’t even 24 Hours Clear of Last Nights Full Throttle TNA Slammiversary Show. If Anything, its safe to say Jade Losing the Knockouts Championship last night was abrupt, and for some, unexpected, but its not the first time the Knockouts Title has switched hands on a sudden notice, which takes me back to TNAs “Genesis” Edition of IMPACT in January 2014, when the Heel Knockouts Champion at the time Gail Kim battled her former Tag Team Partner turned Enemy Madison Rayne with the Championship Title up for grabs.

Returning Months after giving birth in 2013, Madison Rayne quickly moved into the title picture, to the chagrin of her once tag team partner, the Knockouts Champion Gail Kim, who would additionally use her enforcer at the time LeiD Tapa to establish further dominance over the Knockouts Division, which was all kick-started through an alliance between the two at Bound for Glory that year. Holding victories over the very woman she once held the Knockouts Tag Team Championship with, Madison earned the right to finally challenge Gail on the Genesis Edition of IMPACT, pinning Gail to earn her fifth Knockouts Title rather than dethrone the former bestie at Lockdown, leaving Kim with the establishment of being the contender rather than Champion heading into the upcoming Pay Per View.
