Cattie’s Catch Up: Alexa Bliss Debuts on WWE NXT vs Alicia Fox (May, 8th 2014)

If you Havent Heard already, This Weeks WWE Draft brought to us the promotion of three well known and established competitors from NXT to the Main Roster, Nia Jax, Carmella and Alexa Bliss. Since I Cant exactly fit all threes in ring debuts into one midweek reflective edition, ive instead decided to cover one this week, being the debut of Alexa back in May 2014.

Alexa, who had been affiliated with current NXT Tag Team Champion Scott Dawson on Live events long before and in a leaked presentation video during her early developmental stages, finally made her NXT TV Debut with seemingly a “Pixie Princess” Gimmick on the May 8th edition of NXT back in 2014, and at a time where some veterans would visit the growing developmental system to sometimes assist in enhancing upcoming talent. Bliss, who was competing in a NXT Women’s Championship Tournament, surprised many with a major victory over a credited former Divas Champion and still main roster competitor Alicia Fox before ultimately fallen to the Tournament Winner Charlotte later on. After failing to capture the NXT Women’s Championship from Sasha Banks sometime later, Alexa transitioned to a heel per assisting Blake and Real Life Fiancee Murphy in defeating Enzo and Cass at NXT Takeover Unstoppable, only recently looking to establish herself as a serious solo competitor by splitting off from the once championship clad duo through kayfabe transition, with her expanded and improved in ring skills impressing enough to earn her promotion to the main roster this week alongside her former rival Carmella and NXTs well known Powerhouse Nia. Just looking at this particular match in what was the beginning of Alexa’s WWE Run and her most recent encounter with Bayley, her improvements, as well as charisma, cannot be denied, nor can anyone deny that WWE turning her heel has been the trigger on heightening her career to this point.
