New WWE Womens Champion Crowned on Monday Night RAW (July, 25th 2016)
Tonight on RAW, on an episode that ushered in a New Era with the impactful debuts of Nia Jax and Finn Balor, a New Reign was additionally ushered in as Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte to become the New WWE Women’s Champion.
Banks and Charlotte went back and forth in a crowd pleasing effort with Charlotte’s Supporting Protege Dana Brooke ejected from ringside midway after Sasha paid tribute to the Late Eddie Guerrero by throwing the Women’s Championship into the hands of Dana at ringside to convince the referee of foul play. Despite previous attempts, one last Bank Statement allowed Banks to get the submission victory to become the New WWE Women’s Champion. The Championship that was introduced at this years WrestleMania now has its second ever title holder in the former NXT Women’s Champion, ending Charlotte’s Title Reign at 113 Days (not counting WWE’s method of combining her reign with the Retired Divas Championship).
