Your Monday Post #120: Jazz vs Victoria on WWE HEAT (July, 25th 2004)

Welcome All to a Week Opening Reflective on Past Women’s Wrestling Moments, and this weeks highlight couldn’t be more perfectly timed. With Victoria rumored to be making a WWE Return (yet to be confirmed) this weeks edition looks back at one of her past matches in her WWE Run, back in 2004 when she faced one of the divisions most badass competitors, Jazz. Sure its no Pay Per View but Jazz is an opponent seen tough to defeat in the eyes of many, especially back in the day.

Jazz had used her strength and power to her advantage throughout much of the match, but was ultimately floored by a sneaky attack from a mystery ally of Victoria’s (Stevie/Steven Richards) which the veteran, despite being a babyface at the time, used to get the winning pin over the tough competitor. Richards had previously aligned with Victoria before early into her run, and their alliance appeared to be rekindled at Unforgiven, when Richards ran down following Victoria’s unsuccessful attempt to capture the Women’s Title from Stratus that night, saving Victoria from a post match assault at the hands of Stratus’s guard, Tyson Tomko.
