Your Monday Post #136: Mickie James vs Michelle McCool for the WWE Womens Championship at WWE TLC 2009 (December, 13th 2009)

Welcome All to a Rather Late Edition of Your Monday Post, and as Smackdown is Live on the air, it can be noted that WWE TLC is only two weeks away, this time with the Smackdown Brand taking the stage on the show that has some lethally stipulated matches. While the Women haven’t had a stipulated match at TLC other than a Tag Team Tables Match, two competitors in that match was a part of the women’s championship match a year before. The Pairing of LayCool, that had competed against Natalya and Beth Phoenix in 2010, had cemented their image as the mean girls of the WWE heading into Late 2009, and a personal promo against multi time Women’s Champion Mickie James set the stage for the recently returned competitor to battle Michelle McCool for her Women’s Championship, with Layla supporting the Villainous Blonde from ringside.

Mickie went into the match with all animosity over LayCool upped over their “Piggy James” jabs, and while Layla’s interference could have made McCool distracted after taking a big boot accidentally from the comrade, it instead eventually aided McCool to another victory, retaining the championship over Mickie James and heading into the following year as the WWE Women’s Champion.
