Natalya, Mickie James and Alexa Bliss vs Naomi, Nikki Bella and Becky Lynch Set for the Royal Rumble (January, 24th 2017)


Announced on this weeks Pre Royal Rumble Smackdown Episode that will also see the Blue Brand compete with their fellow rival RAW brand, a third women’s match will grace the card in the Alamodome as Smackdowns Veteran Natalya joins a recently returned and newly villainous Mickie James and the Smackdown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss to take on an also recently rejuvenated Naomi, her own rival Nikki Bella and former Smackdown Women’s Champion who has faced up to the trickery of Bliss and Mickie James, Becky Lynch.

Each Women finds themselves in a heated feud with each other going into the sure to be solid affair. Natalya revealed herself heading into the end of last year as the attacker of Nikki Bella, sidelining her from a women’s branded tag bout at Survivor Series and stealing her spot as the Brands Captain, furthermore revealing her disdain for the longest reigning divas champion which has brought out the animosity of the Fearless One herself, engaging in various brawls with Natalya due to these continuing actions. Meanwhile Becky Lynch had her own functioned Gimmick of La Luchadora that she had used to sneakily overcome her ongoing rival Alexa Bliss used against her, as the costumed Luchador Gimmick was then seized by various unknown competitors to use against her in the weeks following, the original assailant revealed upon Becky Lynch getting another opportunity to regain her women’s championship from Alexa, WWEs Veteran Female Worker and former Divas Champion Mickie James. Naomi returned this week on Smackdown with a given opportunity of a match against Natalya, shown to be frustrated after when another brawl between her and Nikki Bella left her with no opponent, until she demanded one herself, that being the Smackdown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, who went out of her way to also avoid competing against the co worker who had defeated her before on PPV, though they will meet this Sunday in the scheduled women’s tag which will grace the Kickoff Show alongside the likes of Cesaro, Sheamus, Nia Jax and more.

Tune into the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show Live on the WWE Network at 12am UK Time, with the main show starting at 1am. Other matches on the card include AJ Styles defending the WWE Championship against John Cena, Cesaro and Sheamus defending the RAW Tag Team Championship against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and the 30 Man Royal Rumble Main Event to cement a main event challenger for this years 33rd WrestleMania extravaganza.
