WWE ROYAL RUMBLE PREDICTIONS: Nia Jax vs Sasha Banks, Smackdown Six Woman Tag Team Match and Bayley vs Charlotte for the RAW Womens Championship (January, 29th 2017)
So Along with Tonight’s Sure to Be Insane NXT Takeover Pay Per View, Tomorrow brings us a follow up extravaganza as the Main Roster of the WWE Presents to us their first Pay Per View of the year, The Royal Rumble, set to feature both the RAW and Smackdown Brands. For the first time ever Three Women’s Matches will be present at the Royal Rumble, in contrast to a few years ago where it would be a rarity for the Women to make the card. Two Rivals Clash as RAWs Nia Jax and Sasha Banks will grace the Kickoff Show in singles competition alongside the Return of Mickie James as she joins Smackdown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and Natalya to face Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella and a Returning Naomi in a Six Woman Tag Team Match. Representing the Main Card (and the RAW Brand) will be the RAW Women’s Championship match as the Woman Undefeated in Singles Competition on Pay Per View, Charlotte, defends against her courageous fellow Horsewoman, Bayley. So with all that said and done, let me lay out my predictions for these said matches…
Beginning first with Sasha Banks vs Nia Jax. This is a hard one to predict as the angle focuses on Nia breaking the courage of one of RAWs once dominant performers, Sasha Banks, breaking her as much as she can during the recovery of Sasha’s Injury inflicted in the climax of her most recent PPV Loss against Charlotte at Roadblock. The Amount of losses Sasha has gained on PPV means gaining relevancy means defeating Nia entirely, but Nia has her own PPV Singles Streak to retain and relevancy by not being faded out through a loss to another horsewoman. Nia wins here to begin Sasha’s slow turn as she sets to possibly blame Bayley for not looking out for her in the time of her losses, with the developing ideal that to be the “Bo$$” means to have no friends.
Next is a Match once slated for the main card right up until a sudden change later in the week. The Return of Mickie James in a main roster ring alongside her fellow heels in Natalya and Smackdown Womens Champion Alexa Bliss against Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella and a Returning Naomi now graces the Kickoff Show Card alongside the RAW Match between Nia and Sasha, and theres so many ways this can go. Each Woman has a reason for their placement in this match and plenty heat in their ongoing feuds thanks to overall great booking on the Smackdown show, so either team could win here in a battle for supremacy. While I Cant Count Out Naomi Pinning Alexa Bliss to capitalize on missing out on her opportunity earlier this week, i can see the focus going on Mickie James in ring return, thus Mickie will pin Becky for the victory. Mickie, Alexa and Natalya will win the match.
And Finally the One Women’s Match to grace the main card (non-surprisingly as RAW dominates in terms of the number of matches being on the Main PPV Card) as Charlotte looks to retain her RAW Women’s Championship and PPV Singles Streak by facing her newest challenger in fellow NXT Alumni Bayley. While a big shock would be Bayley ending the streak of Charlotte and becoming Women’s Champion early to also kickstart her feud with Sasha, its more likely to go everyone elses predicted way, with the continuation of the most dominant streak in WWE Women’s Wrestling History. Charlotte Retains.
Tune into the WWE Royal Rumble Tomorrow Night (Sunday PM/Monday Morning) at 1am UK Time Live on the WWE Network (with the Kickoff Show Prior) to see the said matches, plus AJ Styles defending the WWE Championship against 15x World Champion John Cena and the 30 Man Royal Rumble Main Event to decide a main eventing superstar for this years 33rd WrestleMania extravaganza.
