Tonight at The WWE Elimination Chamber Pay Per View, the Last Smackdown Pay Per View before the 33rd WrestleMania, Alexa Bliss defended the Smackdown Womens Title in the pre main event slot of the show against the recently returned Smackdown Competitor Naomi. The Match concluded with Naomi winning her first ever WWE title, pinning Bliss following her split leg moonsault.

Naomi’s victory over Bliss tonight makes her the 3rd Smackdown Women’s Champion in WWE History, additionally ending Bliss’s reign at 70 days, a reign that started at the final WWE Smackdown Pay Per View of 2016 at WWE TLC when Bliss defeated the Inaugural Champion Becky Lynch in the first ever Women’s Singles Tables Match in Smackdown History. At the time of this writing, it is unknown whether the Smackdown Womens Championship will be featured on the WrestleMania 33 Card, though its worth noting that the event is officially at Naomi’s hometown of Orlando, Florida.

Fellow WWE Superstars, including her fellow main roster competitors Summer Rae and Sasha Banks, sent out their congratulations to the newly crowned champion.

Congratulations Go Out to Naomi on her long overdue championship victory. Stay Tuned to the Site for A Full Elimination Chamber Report and Tune into the Post Elimination Chamber Smackdown Episode this Tuesday for all the fallout from this event.
