Your Monday Post #150: Layla and Michelle McCool vs Natalya and Beth Phoenix in a Tag Team Tables Match (December, 19th 2010)
Its Just Minutes Before the Last Monday Night RAW of February, and with it comes another week opening feature here on the Site. Now whether you are caught up or not, the news has broke today that the 2017 Hall of Fame Female Inductee will be Beth Phoenix, and in honor of this fairly early but very much deserving induction, lets take a look back at one of the Former Divas Champions moments in the company, including during one of her various partnerships with Smackdowns Own Natalya.
At Survivor Series, Phoenix had returned after a hiatus to aid Natalya after she was attacked amid a celebration of her 1st Divas Championship win by the heel duo dominating over the divisions at the time, Michelle McCool and Layla. This prompted Natalya and Phoenix, two of the most impressive athletes in the WWE to unite against the divisions most common enemy, and Phoenix, who is no stranger to stipulated matches, would easily welcome herself into the stipulated match set up between the two feuding forces, as Natalya and Phoenix suggested a Tag Team Tables Match, though less extreme and more feminine at the time in the form of an adorned pink table. Regardless Phoenix and Natalya carried that history, and the history of winning the first ever Women’s Tag Team Tables Match in history at the event. This was the first of two times the veterans aligned, as they re-emerged with a new alignment the following year as heels, dubbed the Divas of Doom, targeting the “Barbie Doll Like” Women of the WWE, an angle that lead to Beth’s first Divas Championship reign in history.
