Mixed Tag Team Match Set for WrestleMania 33 (March, 15th 2017)
Two of the Biggest Power Couples in Modern Day WWE are set to clash as Nikki Bella and John Cena face the Married Alliance and Also Dubbed “A Listers” The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33 on April 2nd, officially confirmed on this weeks Smackdown Live episode.
The Feud was kick-started at Smackdowns Last Pay Per View before the Big Event, Elimination Chamber, as Nikki Bella accidentally bumped fellow Women’s Superstar Maryse during a backstage altercation with her opponent on the night, Natalya. In Addition, a battle royal following the event saw the birth of Miz’s hatred for John Cena, costing him a shot at the WWE Championship held by recently crowned champion Bray Wyatt. Miz and Maryse have since gone on to personally attack their fellow rivals since, with even Maryse getting physical as to cost Nikki Bella her final showdown with Natalya, attacking the Total Bella’s Star with a Lead Pipe. Maryse then made comments on a rumored real life spat addressed on Total Divas between her and the Bella’s on this weeks Smackdown, eventually forcing the intervention of the fellow Total Divas Couple, John Cena and Nikki Bella. As the Villains tried to run away from a possible altercation, Nikki’s Brother In Law, Daniel Bryan, took it upon himself to capitalize on the issues between the numerous stars, booking them to face each other in Mixed Tag Action at WrestleMania 33, marking Maryse’s return to a WWE ring for the first time in several years.
Will Cena and Nikki Bella shut down their oppressors once and for all? Or Will Miz gain another Grand WrestleMania Moment, this time with his wife at his side? All that will be found out Live on the WWE Network on April 2nd/Mon April 3rd at 1am UK Time. Other Matches featured on the WrestleMania 33 Card include Alexa Bliss defending the Smackdown Women’s Championship against any available member of the Smackdown Women’s Roster and Bray Wyatt Defending the WWE Championship against Ally Turned Foe Randy Orton.
