Cattie’s Catch Up: Team Total Divas vs Team BAD and Blonde at WrestleMania 32 (April, 3rd 2016)

Welcome All to a WrestleMania Themed Edition of Cattie’s Catch Up, in coordination with this weeks WrestleMania theme, and well….because of the fact that Sunday is WRESTLEMANIA. This years event plays host to three women’s matches, with last years presenting two. One was the ever so praised triple threat match between Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte for the Inaugural WWE Women’s Championship (Now the RAW Women’s Championship) and the other was a match placed on the Kickoff, as Lana made her in ring debut at WrestleMania as the hench of Team BAD and Blonde, made of herself and fellow villainous recruits Tamina, Naomi, Emma and Summer Rae. The Group did battle against Team Total Divas, Captained by the Retiring Brie Bella and made up of the former Divas Champion, Paige, Natalya, Alicia Fox and Eva Marie.

The Feud began when Lana stepped out of her managerial shoes for a small time to inexplainably target Brie Bella, showing previews of her in ring skill by targeting the Bella as well as her fellow Total Diva Paige. When Other Total Divas were thrown into the fray, Lana ended up recruiting the remnants of Team BAD aka then heels Naomi and Tamina as well as former rival Summer Rae and the returning Emma, who had joined Rae in ambushing Natalya and Alicia Fox during Paige’s Match with Naomi only weeks before Mania. The RAW before Mania opened the chance for the feud to boil over as a match between Emma and Paige turned into an all out brawl fest, seeing the Total Divas worked against with more numbers on the villainous side until Eva Marie emerged to even things, to the confusion of most of her allies. Unfortunately for Lana, her quest to end the “Pitiful Total Divas” didn’t end as she hoped, because while she avoided being forced into submission, veteran co worker Naomi paid the price, submitted by Brie in the closing moments. Nikki, recovering from a serious neck injury at the time, headed to the ring to celebrate Brie’s final WWE match alongside the victorious group and Lana’s interest in targeting the Total Divas faded into nothing from there.
