Your Monday Post #157: Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks on Monday Night RAW (February, 1st 2016)

Welcome All to This Weeks Week Opening Wrestling Post, and with the news that Team BAD reunited for a photographic moment in Boston this past week, in coordination timing wise with Taminas Return to WWE Television as part of the Smackdown Brand, i thought it’d be appropriate to look back at a moment featuring the underrated (imo) all woman stable, made up back in the day of Tamina, Naomi and Sasha Banks, who became a unit on the night of the RAW “Divas Revolution”.

Tamina and Naomi (who currently are on the same roster notably) were the sidekicks of Sasha Banks as part of the third unit for months, the others being Team Bella (Nikki, Brie and Alicia Fox) and PCB (Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch) but on the February 1st edition of RAW back in 2016, the union began to show cracks when Sasha declared that no one would step in her path to becoming Divas Champion. While her Team BAD comrades tried to show respect towards Sasha over her declaration, claiming they’d have her back, Sasha’s union with the veterans eventually cracked during the former NXT Women’s Champions Match against Becky Lynch when she flipped over an attempted assault from the two on Becky. From there, Naomi and Tamina split off from Sasha to attempt to create their own acclaimed legacy, but the attack on Banks lead to Lynch getting involved, putting past issues with the fellow NXT Alumni aside to join in combat, leading to “Team BAE” reuniting at WWE Fast Lane.
