Cattie’s Catch Up: Natalya vs LayCool for the Divas Championship at WWE Survivor Series (November, 21st 2010)

Welcome All to this weeks edition of Cattie’s Catch Up, and this week looks at the topic of fresh champions with Alexa Bliss’s crowning as the new RAW Womens Champion. Though not in the title picture as of this moment in time, Natalya Neidhart, the Niece of WWE Legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart, has been in multiple title matches in the past few years, but can you believe it was almost seven years ago when she captured her very first WWE related title? Back at Survivor Series 2010?

Then Babyface Nattie was challenging long tenured duo and Co Divas Champions LayCool (Layla and Michelle McCool) at Survivor Series that year, stepping into the first ever handicap match for a women’s related championship in history. The Symbolic Sharpshooter Submission from the Queen of Harts eventually submitted then co worker Michelle McCool, allowing for Nattie to take home her first Divas Championship title in WWE History (and it should be noted herself and McCool fought to become the very first Divas Champion in 2008). A Known Vicious LayCool would try to sour the crowning moment with a post match attack, though the odds were evened within moments with the return of Natalya’s comrade Beth Phoenix, who cleaned house and allowed Nattie to continue to celebrate her major win.
