Your Monday Post #163: Beth Phoenix vs Michelle McCool for the WWE Womens Championship at Extreme Rules 2010 (April, 25th 2010)

On Sunday, something wicked nears as WWE delivers their next Pay Per View, a dangerous one for most indeed in the form of Extreme Rules. Speaking of wicked, back in 2010 LayCool were the center evil of the Women’s Division, and were the focal disdain point for the Glamazon Beth Phoenix. LayCool also had Vickie Guerrero by their side, who went out of her way to abuse her power to try and prevent Phoenix from contending for McCool’s championship title.

When Phoenix eventually earned contention, she would be attacked by the villainous duo of Layla and Michelle, and the actions taking place in this very beat-down set up for Phoenix to face the Champion McCool at Extreme Rules for the WWE Women’s Championship, in an Extreme Makeover match. Like most of the Glamazons opponents over time, McCool would fall, as a signature Glam Slam from the now Hall of Famer lead to a 3rd Women’s Championship reign, a temporary one as an injury lead to her being dethroned not too long later by the eventual final women’s champion Layla.
