First Unified Women’s Champion Crowned at Tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary Pay Per View (July, 2nd 2017)

Tonight, IMPACT Wrestling hosted its first Pay Per View of the year, IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary, playing host to 3 Knockouts related matches. One would include the Knockouts Championship and Global Force Wrestling Women’s Championship to be unified, as respective holders Rosemary and Sienna battled to unify these said titles for the first time in the companies history, with IMPACT Hall of Famer and former Knockouts Champion Gail Kim looking on.

The Match was eventually won by Sienna, despite Rosemary kicking out of the Silencer and a shot to the body via the championship utilized by Sienna. Laurel Van Ness also interfered in the match at one point but was dealt with by Allie, who she battled against earlier in the night alongside Braxton Sutter and Mahabali Shera in Six Person Tag Team Action. The Name of the Unified Championship has yet to be known, nor is the new title yet to be unveiled, but if the unified title bares any relation to the surely still existent Knockouts Championship then this would count as Sienna’s second Knockouts Championship reign, her first beginning at last years Slammiversary. The News of Sienna’s victory also means that Rosemary’s Knockouts Title reign that began Last December has ended at a total of 267 days.

Stay Tuned during the early half of the week for a full report on tonight’s Slammiversary show, including on this historic set up match and also on the also set Full Metal Mayhem Mixed Tag Match and more. Also a huge congratulations goes out to Sienna on her victory.
