WWE BATTLEGROUND RESULTS (Live): And Going to Summerslam to Challenge for the Smackdown Womens Title Is…. (July, 23rd 2017)

Tonight, the Smackdown Superstars took themselves into battle at the suitably named Battleground Pay Per View, with some of the finest female competitors of the blue brand also getting a chance to battle for a future chance at the Smackdown Women’s Championship in elimination style. This said match featured “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, “The Lasskicker” Becky Lynch, “The Ravishing Russian” Lana, The Dominant Tamina and “The Queen of Black Harts” Natalya.

It seems the bookie rumors earlier in the day turned out to be true, as longtime veteran Natalya would take the shock win. After Becky worked her way through eliminating both Tamina and Lana, the Lasskicker would be quickly eliminated mid momentum by Natalya, who then submitted her generational rival Charlotte to obtain her spot at Summerslam, where she will officially face Naomi for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. This Marks as Natalya’s second overall singles match at Summerslam, having faced Brie Bella back at Summerslam 2013, and Natalya’s first singles shot at the Smackdown Women’s Championship on Pay Per View.

Congratulations Go Out to Natalya on her big victory, becoming the number one contender to the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Stay Tuned to the site through the earlier half of the week for a full WWE Battleground report.
