Your Monday Post #178: Toni Storm vs Kairi Sane; Mae Young Classic Semifinal Match (September, 4th 2017)

Welcome all to a pre RAW edition of Your Monday Post, and a well timed one if i must say so myself. For the past two weeks, ive briefly highlighted moments from Shayna Baszlers journey in the Mae Young Classic, a tournament that saw 32 women from around the world compete for the honor of being the winner of the inaugural tournament. Shayna officially advanced to the final via overcoming a partner of the past, a also dominant Mercedes Martinez, and the member of the UFCs four horsewomen is set to battle Kairi Sane for the honor of becoming the tournaments winner, so lets see what got Kairi into the selected spot to face the tough and fearless Baszler.

Kairi of Stardom fame, also known as Doku back in Lucha Underground, started off the tournament by facing and overcoming Tessa Blanchard, then future NXT standout Bianca Belair and another NXT performer in Dakota Kai. This set up for her to face fellow semi finalist Toni Storm, a SWA Champion hailing from New Zealand. In what was one of the tournaments most hard hitting, high octane and intense matches, the famed elbow drop of Hojo eventually gained her a place in the final, and the emotional performer came face to face with Baszler right after in their last meeting before tomorrows Mae Young Classic final.
