Laurel Van Ness Departs from IMPACT Wrestling (January, 16th 2018)

Alongside a short list of other performers, Chelsea Green, who performs for IMPACT Wrestling under the name of Laurel Van Ness, has parted ways with the company. Green requested her release back in November as exclusively reported by Squared Circle Sirens, which was granted in the conclusion of this months tapings, the same tapings that she dropped the Knockouts Championship in, which she won for the first time at IMPACTs Television Tapings back in November.

Green, who also briefly appeared for WWE as part of their newest season of Tough Enough, and additionally in a segment that contributed to Stephanie McMahon’s feud with Brie Bella, first appeared for IMPACT Wrestling in January 2016, signing with the company in June and debuting with her official character of a Rich Heiress under the new name of “Laurel Van Ness” in September. In March 2017, she transitioned into a new character and aligned herself once again with Sienna, who she had worked alongside during her time aligned with Maria Kanellis-Bennett in IMPACT Wrestling, and also with KM and Kongo Kong in the process. When the groups feud with Allie, Braxton Sutter and others closed at IMPACTs Slammiversary Pay Per View, Green transitioned into a babyface for a short period for a romantic angle with Grado, ending her association with Kongo Kong. The storyline saw Grado attempt to marry Van Ness for American Citizenship, but eventually rejected due to finding out about Van Ness’s status as a Canadian. Green reverted back to her heel status at Bound for Glory by costing Grado his match with Abyss, even with attempted intervention from Rosemary, who she later defeated to win her first Knockouts Championship. Van Ness is currently in a feud with Allie on IMPACT Television and dropped the championship at this months tapings prior to her set departure.

I Wish Laurel Van Ness (Chelsea Green) all the best in her future prospects and endeavors. You can view her most recently aired match below, with her last match set to air sometime between February and March.
