Asuka vs Charlotte for the Smackdown Womens Championship Set for WrestleMania 34 (March, 11th 2018)

Last Night at WWE Fast Lane, an intense Women’s Championship showdown concluded in “The Queen” Charlotte Flair picking up the victory that confirmed her Road to WrestleMania, overcoming the Riott Squads Leader, NXT Alumni Ruby Riott. Post Match, the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, who has put on a continually dominant display on Monday Night RAW, emerged to reveal her intentions of challenging Charlotte for her retained women’s title at WrestleMania, which has since been accepted.

Last year, Asuka abdicated her NXT Women’s Championship for her main roster pursuit, continuing her undefeated streak upon being welcomed to Monday Night RAW, but in turn, never received a RAW Women’s Championship match nor reign. Upon winning the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match, it became a mystery as to which Women’s Championship Asuka would challenge for in reward for that accolade and victory, the RAW Women’s Championship held by Alexa Bliss, or the Smackdown Women’s Championship that has been held by Charlotte since defeating Natalya in November. The Queen of Smackdown Live is no stranger to having her own streak, but only on Pay Per View up until last years Fast Lane, where it came to an end at the hands of then RAW Women’s Champion Bayley. However Charlotte has not yet met Asuka in the ring, not even in singles competition, and it will be her Championship reign, currently nearing its four month peak, vs the Streak of the Empress of Tomorrow at the Grandest Stage of Them All, the 34rd WrestleMania emanating from New Orleans.

Will “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, a known dominant performer even before her main roster ascension, be the one to beat the Streak? Or will Asuka’s dominant road continue, along with her obtaining her second overall WWE Championship? Find out when the next showcase of Immortals, WrestleMania 34, comes to you LIVE on Sunday April 8th/Mon Apr 9th at 1am UK Time on the WWE Network and Sky Sports Box Office. Other Matches include Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H and Roman Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.
