Cattie’s Catch Up: Sienna vs Allie for the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Championship on IMPACT Wrestling (March, 22nd 2018)
We have reached the midweek point of the Post Fast Lane week, and while this week has generated a lot of talk to begin the week WWE wise, the week also kickstarted with a noted anniversary, as a particular debut took place two years ago on IMPACT Wrestling Television following a hard fought Knockouts Championship match between then champion Allie and former member of the Lady Squad, and former NWA World Womens Champion, Sienna.
Allie, who claimed her second ever Knockouts Championship by defeating the departing Laurel Van Ness (WWE Smackdowns Chelsea Green) ended up having her first title defense weeks later against Sienna, in what was Sienna’s return to in ring competition. The match ended successfully as expected for Allie, and along came her next feud soon after, as out came Allie’s former on screen partner, and real life husband, Braxton Sutter (AEW’s the Blade) trying to worm Allie back into his life after turning heel. The moment, however, was a set up, as Braxton brought in the frightening Su Yung, making her debut and laying out the reigning Knockouts Champion with the Panic Switch. This lead to Allie and Su going one on one over the title at Redemption, and after falling in defeat, Su would end the short term partnership with Braxton, but continuing to pursue the title nonetheless.
