Cattie’s Catch Up: Jessicka Havok and Rosemary vs Lady Frost and Gisele Shaw vs Savannah Evans and Tasha Steelz vs Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships at IMPACT Wrestling Multiverse of Matches (April, 1st 2022)
Welcome all to this weeks midweek throwback, and one landing hours before Madison Rayne has her potential last match as part of the IMPACT roster, because, as many will have seen, the Knockouts veteran is now a part of the AEW Roster as a coach for the Womens Division, and, judged by her recent feud with their TBS Womens Champion Jade Cargill, an in ring competitor. While that match has already aired, Madison’s seemingly last IMPACT bout goes down tonight, and against Mia Yim. Before that, i take a look at one of Madisons early Knockouts tag team title defenses after surprisingly winning them alongside Tenille Dashwood earlier this year.
While the IInspiration, formerly the IIconics, were believed to be being hyped as the next top team to head the Knockouts Tag Team Division, they were surprisingly dethroned by Madison and Tenille, otherwise known as the Influence, at IMPACTs Sacrifice IMPACT Plus and FITE Special, ending their reign that had kickstarted at last years Bound for Glory Pay Per View. Before reigniting that feud, Madison and Tenille had an early tough test, defending against Gisele Shaw and Lady Frost, Havok and Rosemary and Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans at another IMPACT Special, Multiverse of Matches, on WrestleMania Weekend. Madison and Tenille went on to retain then threw away their partnership with Kaleb Konley, who was initially trying to aid the IInspiration over them back at Sacrifice, which was wrote in due to Kaleb’s official departure. Madison and Tenille got in more title defenses without the aid of Kaleb, including in a rematch against the IInspiration at Rebellion, then dropped the titles to Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary at Slammiversary.
