Former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green Departs from IMPACT Wrestling (November 10th 2022)

Coming out of Thursday nights episode of IMPACT Wrestling, another split came to fruition in the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Division, as Chelsea Green parted from her VXT tag team partner, Deonna Purrazzo, and officially departed from the company. This comes after Deonna caught up with Chelsea outside the Impact Zone following last nights loss to Mickie James, with Chelsea informing her now former partner that she was heading “home”. Chelsea’s departure, additionally backed up by PWInsider, comes in the midst of reported rumors that she is set to return to the WWE.

Chelsea, who turned heel on IMPACT television months ago to begin an awaited feud with Mickie James that had initially been nixed during their time with WWE, recently renewed her feud with Mickie in the midst of Mickies “Last Rodeo”, a concept introduced by the former Knockouts Champion herself that would see her compete in match after match until a loss would see her retire officially from the ring. Chelsea was unable to make her hoped concept of retiring Mickie a reality, as Mickie defeated Chelsea in the last match between the two, also getting retribution for Chelsea defeating her before and running her (kayfabe) out of IMPACT for a time. Chelsea had returned to IMPACT last year originally as a babyface at Slammiversary, months after her release from WWE, helping her real life husband Matt Cardona defeat Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood in Mixed Tag Team Action and beginning her second run with IMPACT Wrestling in turn. Chelsea would also work for the likes of Ring of Honor, NWA and GCW during her time as a free agent post WWE.

I Wish Chelsea all the best with her future ventures.
