WWE NXT: Stand and Deliver Predictions: The Schism vs Chase University and Tyler Bate, Six Woman Ladder Match for the WWE NXT Womens Championship and Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs Fallon Henley and Kiana James for the WWE NXT Womens Tag Team Championships (April 1st 2023)

On Saturday comes two lots of action from WWE, not just the first night of WrestleMania 39, but action from the NXT brand in the form of NXT: Stand and Deliver. The now seemingly traditional WrestleMania weekend event has three womens related matches set for the card, and im on hand to run down my thoughts results wise ahead of the show airing. So without further adieu..

Firstly to be discussed is the eight person mixed tag team match, pitting all members of the Schism against Chase University and Tyler Bate, in what will also be the WWE in ring debut of Ava Raine and the PPV in ring debut of Thea Hail. I feel this is hard to call because we’ve seen supergroups in WWE before, taking the D’Angelo Family and Legado as one example, so the Schism winning could force Chase University to co-exist with them in what becomes a long term battle to usurp Joe Gacy from power. Theres also the two cases of protecting Ava in her in ring debut and making her look as strong as possible, and the most predictable outcome, the predicted heel turn of Duke Hudson. This is a MUST Win for Chase University not just for the sake of Chase University’s status and whom holds power over it, but for the sake of Thea overcoming her fears of the Schism entirely and closing her chapter with them, and for the sake of the main men being cohesive. I dont think the Schism are done with NXT for quite a bit, so i can definitely see them winning to create a longer storyline between them and Chase U. I can only see Chase U winning, however, if Andre and Joe are to close it out entirely in a later singles match. So, again, as much as its a must win for Chase U, theres more factors against than for them, so im going for the Schism winning. The Schism win.

Next is the NXT Womens Championship Ladder Match, which now has the added factor of Indi Hartwell and the champion herself, Roxanne Perez, who will now defend the title in the match itself as opposed to having the title vacant than up for grabs. While im all for Tiffany and Zoey having singles championship runs, as well as Lyra, Roxanne is still early into her reign, and her return segment made it all the more important and clear that she has to win, to prove she can fight her anxiety and succeed under pressure. The only way i see Roxanne losing is if she is slotted for more time off, but, in what i feel will be Indi’s last NXT match before her long overdue call up, and maybe Zoey’s if they do call her up, im going with Roxanne to retain, and a potential feud with Tiffany on the cards later that MAY lead to a title drop. Roxanne retains.

Then lastly is the NXT Womens Tag Team Championship match, pitting the occult like force of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre against the current champions, Fallon Henley and Kiana James. Im split on this because i love what they’re doing with Isla and Alba, and i cant wait to see them become champions, but at the same time, if they delay the inevitable split of Kiana and Fallon, then they could potentially prove that they can co-exist to win. The question is whether Fallon and Kiana’s lack of cohesion is going to be long drawn out, leading to a later implosion, or if Creative have set them to implode already. I cant rule out the possibility of Kiana and Fallon retaining, especially if Kiana goes all out to impress Fallon to try and keep her hush hush about her cheating allegations recently, however, i can see them imploding and Isla and Alba becoming champions, and heck, maybe we will even see who this Sebastian is who may reveal himself and align with Kiana. Or maybe Briggs will turn? Who knows? Either way, im going with Alba and Isla to win.

WWE NXT: Stand and Deliver takes place LIVE on Saturday Apr 1st at 5pm UK Time on Peacock and the WWE Network. Other Matches include Grayson Waller vs Johnny Gargano in an Unsanctioned Match and Carmelo Hayes vs Bron Breakker for the WWE NXT Championship.
