New WWE NXT Womens Champion and NXT Womens Tag Team Champions Crowned at WWE NXT: Stand and Deliver (April 1st 2023)

Tonight saw WrestleMania Saturday commence early, first with the NXT brands seemingly traditional Stand and Deliver Pay Per View. With it came title changes, including for the womens division, with a New NXT Womens Champion crowned as well as New NXT Womens Tag Team Champions.

Roxanne Perez defended the NXT Womens Championship in the nights opener against Zoey Stark, GiGi Dolin, Lyra Valkyria, Tiffany Stratton and Indi Hartwell in what was a six woman ladder match for Perez’s title. In the end, in what was a shock outcome for many, Indi, with a shock assist from her on screen partner, Dexter Lumis, ascended to the top of the ladder and captured the championship, marking her first singles reign in WWE and her overall second, being a former NXT Womens Tag Team Champion alongside Candice LeRae. The victorious Aussie’s win brings Roxanne Perez’s reign to an end at a total of 109 days.

Meanwhile, prior to the shows main event, the NXT Womens Tag Team Championships were additionally defended, as reigning champions Kiana James and Fallon Henley, despite recent tensions, defended against the recently formed and Unholy Alliance of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Towards the end of the match, Kiana insisted on using her bag, or maybe so a weapon inside it to win, but Brooks Jensen was heavily instructed to disobey by Josh Briggs. Despite Fallon trying to be a physical assist, she fell short, and in the end, Alba and Isla went on to win the championships, bringing an end to Kiana and Fallon’s reign after a total of 56 days. It also marks Alba’s first tag team championship reign in WWE, and her overall second as a former NXT UK Womens Champion. The win, for Isla, marks her first ever championship reign in WWE.

The respective new champions took to their twitter accounts, reacting to their championship victories, with stars in and out of WWE sending their congratulations also.
