Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey for the WWE Unified Womens Tag Team Championships Set for Saturdays WWE Money in the Bank Pay Per View (June 23rd 2023)
In news coming out of Fridays episode of WWE Smackdown, a new womens match has been added to this weekends WWE Money in the Bank matchcard, as Raquel Rodriguez and the newly returned Liv Morgan will challenge Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler for the now Unified WWE Womens Tag Team Championships.
In May, an unexpected injury left Liv Morgan sidelined, and as a result of her injury related hiatus, both herself and Raquel were made to surrender the Womens Tag Team Championships. A later four way tag match lead to Ronda and Shayna becoming the new Womens Tag Team Champions, but Raquel has not since given up her pursuit of the new champions, who had attacked her upon their return, nor the belts. On Friday, Ronda and Shayna added an extra accolade to their careers by defeating Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre to unify the NXT and WWE Womens Tag Team Championships, met with the challenge of Raquel and a freshly healed Liv Morgan post match. That match has since been made official for Money in the Bank on Saturday in the United Kingdom Capital City of London, which will mark the first defense of the newly unified championship belts.
WWE Money in the Bank takes place LIVE on Saturday July 1st at 8pm UK Time on Peacock, the WWE Network and BT Sport Box Office. Other Matches include Matt Riddle vs Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns vs the Usos.
