WWE ELIMINATION CHAMBER RESULTS: Home Favorite Aims for Titles, New Contender Made and the Nightmare and Jax Collide in Main Event (February 24th 2024)

Hello all and welcome to the latest Premium Live Event post, and it was WWE’s turn again with a (international) spectacle, as they took to Australia for their Elimination Chamber show. A little boost from the two already scheduled, we got three womens matches. Candice LeRae joins Australia’s own Indi Hartwell to face the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Womens Tag Team Championships, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, Bianca Belair, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan battled in the Womens Elimination Chamber Match, and in a momentous main event, Rhea Ripley defended the WWE Womens World Championship against her most recent foe, Nia Jax.

Firstly taking place on the Kickoff Show, its Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell of the Way taking on the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Womens Tag Team Championships, a match Adam Pearce had given the two unexpected challengers as of late. Indi got a welcome pop from the already hot crowd upon arrival, out to another remixed/mash up theme with Candice. Iyo Sky was also not in the corner of the defending champions, Asuka and Kairi Sane. Towards the end of the match, Indi aided Candice with a potential tag team maneuver, but was yanked from underneath by Kairi, causing Candice to tumble as well. Kairi then launches Indi into the ring post, all while Asuka hauls Candice into place for the legally tagged Kairi’s insane elbow, which connects, giving the champions the win. Asuka and Kairi win the match, retaining the Womens Tag Team Championships.

Then its to the main show, which is opened with the Womens Elimination Chamber Match, the first of two scheduled chamber matches on the night. The competing forces are Becky Lynch, Naomi, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton and Liv Morgan. Becky and Naomi started off against one another, with Tiffany Stratton entering later as the third entrant, followed by Liv Morgan, then Raquel Rodriguez then Bianca Belair. Naomi would be the first eliminated, per being pinned by Tiffany after her high up cutter to Liv. Liv later pinned Stratton post ObLIVion after sparring post Tiffany’s high up moonsault. Belair then eliminated Raquel after an impressive K-O-D to the powerhouse. Liv later rolled up Bianca to score another massive elimination, before later succumbing to a manhandle slam courtesy of Becky, with Liv pinned as a result. Becky wins the match, becoming the number one contender to the WWE Womens World Championship.

Then, much later in the show comes the main event, as the Judgment Day, and Australia’s own Rhea Ripley, the reigning Womens World Champion, defends against the imposing contender, Nia Jax. In the end, Rhea survives being blasted through a table and Nia’s finisher, eventually putting Nia away with the Riptide to retain in front of her home crowd. Rhea wins the match, retaining the WWE Womens World Championship.

Thoughts On:
Womens Tag Title Match: Do wish it had been longer, but did like Indi getting the home crowd support. Candice taking the pin also protects Indi from losing in the home country, all while furthering the Kabuki Warriors dominance. Im assuming Bayley either wasnt flown in or just wasnt used and they’re choosing to further the Damage CTRL angle on Friday instead.

Womens Elimination Chamber: A Great Match, with Tiffany the star of the match easily. Was surprised at Naomi being the first eliminated. Wasnt surprised to see Becky and Liv as the final two, especially as Liv was aiming to get revenge on Rhea and Becky is being built for a future match with Rhea. In the end, the inevitable happened, with Becky going over. As much as i like Becky, i wouldnt mind Liv and Nia being added to the match.

Nia vs Rhea: Another great match, with an inevitable outcome. Becky vs Rhea has been teased for a while, and Beckys win, along with Rhea’s, pulled the trigger on the Mania clash. However, Nia has been strong in this run, and as mentioned before, i wouldnt mind her returning to the title picture, even being in the match at Mania, Liv Morgan also there too.
