WWE PAYBACK PREDICTIONS: Trish Stratus vs Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage Match and Raquel Rodriguez vs Rhea Ripley for the WWE Womens World Championship (September 2nd 2023)
Welcome all to this Saturdays WWE Payback Premium Live Event Predictions. The show currently features two womens related matches on the card, one including the renewal of an NXT rivalry while the other is a potential culmination. Raquel Rodriguez battles Rhea Ripley for the WWE Womens World Championship while Trish Stratus takes on Ongoing Nemesis Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage Match.
Predictions wise, its firstly onto the next battle between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus. Considering recent media comments and the longevity of this feud, i feel like this could be the last match between the two, and if so, i fully expect Becky Lynch to go over to close out the feud. Becky wins.
Then its over to the anticipated clash between once friends Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley. Im a fan of both, and i hope for a Raquel singles reign on the main roster someday, but Rhea still has much more to do in her reign, and a limited amount of defenses on Premium Live Events currently. I dont know how she does it, maybe in preferable unclean fashion to protect Raquel and prolong things, but i expect Rhea to retain.
WWE Payback takes place LIVE on Saturday Sep 2nd/Sun 3rd Sep at 1am UK Time on Peacock, the WWE Network and TNT Sports. Other Matches include Shinsuke Nakamura vs Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and LA Knight vs the Miz.
